The University of Amsterdam (UvA) aims to attract the world’s brightest students to its international classrooms. Outstanding students from outside the EU/EEA can apply for an Amsterdam Merit Scholarship (AMS).
AMS applications for the academic year 2022-2023 must be received before 15 January 2022
Candidates wishing to apply for an AMS scholarship, which can range from €1,000 to €5,000 must meet the following requirements:
Eligible candidates are selected for a scholarship on the basis of their academic merit.
The language skills are assessed by taking one of the following tests:
The test results may not be more than two years old, calculated from the start date of the English-language Master’s programme in question.
The Amsterdam Law School only accepts English language proficiency test results that are no more than two years old at the time of your start of the programme.
Chinese applicants need to submit an IELTS or TOEFL iBT test and request a Nuffic certificate.
The following students are exempted from the afore-mentioned tests:
Please note that incomplete scholarship application files will not be considered.
You will be informed about the decision of the Selection Committee of the Amsterdam Law School by the end of April/beginning of May.
